The American Revolution

The film presents the war’s achievements and contradictions through the experiences of diverse participants—soldiers, political leaders, Loyalists, Native Americans, African Americans, European allies and civilians. It shows how the Revolution sparked global ideas about freedom, rights, and self-government, raising ideals and questions that continue to shape society today.
